Course Description:

An introduction to jurisdiction of the Cayman Islands, covering laws and regulations, for newcomers to the local industry and professional firms. The course covers:

  • Management and administration of companies
    • Meetings & resolutions
    • Company officers
    • Corporate governance
    • Company directors
    • External parties
  • Corporate crime and regulation
    • Regulating in the public interest
    • Fraudulent and criminal behavior
  • Legal implications relating to companies in difficulty or in crisis
    • Insolvency
    • Striking off
    • Controller

Learning Objective:

To provide newcomers to the Cayman Islands an introduction to the legal and regulatory environment, including key institutions. 

Who Should Attend:

New employees in industry and professional firms that are immediately coming from another jurisdiction.

CIIPA Members: 125 KYD

CIIPA Non-members: 150 KYD

On the day: registration will open at 8:30 a.m. with the first session starting at 9 a.m.

Due to high standing costs, refunds will not be issued, but if a registrant is unable attend a replacement can be sent by notifying admin@ciipa.ky 24 hours prior to training session.
